The VS Group Technical Team have been busy over the past few months installing phone systems for third sector and not-for-profit organisations across the country.  One of the recent projects included installing a new Samsung OfficeServ 7030 digital telephone system at Heart of Birmingham Vocational College.

The VS Group Technical Team, headed by Jim Yelland, worked on the project during the school holidays, to ensure that disruption was kept to an absolute minimum for the college, its staff and students.

They replaced the existing NEC SL1100 system, with a seamless switchover to the new system, whilst keeping the college informed of the installation’s progress throughout.

8 Samsung digital handsets where also installed as part of the project with SIP trunk provisioning, providing Heart of Birmingham Vocational College with a future-proofed telephony solution, to ensure continuity of service when the ISDN2 circuits become obsolete.

The entire package that we provided was put together with the end user in mind; features such as the in-built voicemail functionality were included to assist staff during busy periods.

Once the installation was fully completed, the Technical Team carried out one-to-one training to ensure that the staff at Heart of Birmingham Vocational College get the most out of their system.
