Southwark Cathedral lies on the south bank of the River Thames close to London Bridge.
It is the mother church of the Anglican Diocese of Southwark and has been a place of Christian worship for more than 1,000 years, and a cathedral since the creation of the diocese of Southwark in 1905.
Technology and the efficiencies it drives are fundamental to the day-to-day work of Southwark Cathedral, but essential is the delivery of a service that allows the focus of activity and funds to the Cathedral’s core work and mission.
Working with VS Group Charity Telecoms, Southwark Cathedral receives voice services including lines, calls and telephony system.
A spokesperson from the Southwark Cathedral said:
“We found VS Group to be extremely helpful throughout the transfer process from our previous supplier. We experienced some difficulties with our previous provider when attempting to switch and VS Telecom helped us to resolve what could have been a very difficult and expensive situation and helped to ensure that we were not left facing large termination fees.
“They even agreed to make a donation to cover the shortfall that our agreement with the previous supplier might have left us with. We received friendly and prompt responses to all of our queries and they helped at every step in the transfer process.
“We are delighted with our new system and we are pleased that we can now save money which can be put towards our core work and mission.”
